bullet  Birth Notes:

Unusual given name of Sobieski ( thought to be a form of Zabriskie) . Custom of the day was to name a child in honor of a relative of importance to favor inheritance, Sobieski was a Polish person of royal standing. Hence, those who will remember will recall that we called him Uncle Bis, or Uncle Fred. Many thought that his middle name was Fred because of this, but another surprise is in store. His middle name was Force, that being the maiden name of his Grandmother, wife of Gerald Toll, who had another great grand-child who would become a mayor of Paterson,NJ. To further confound matters they had an ancestor Columbus Force who served in the militia as a Captain during the Revolutionary War and was the recipient of an English Land Grant which was pre-revolutionary in time. I can personally vouch for most of this information and have gotten some of the Rev.War data from Shirley Toll VanReen who was the daughter of Charles Toll ( Sobieski F tolls 'brother).
