Task
Habitat for Humanity of Ellis County, Texas needed a simple web presence site.
Desired to have a news and events database and also integrated online volunteer
signup form.
Solution
No heavy ecommerce site needed, and cost was to be minimized, so hosting on a PHP
server was the prescribed solution platform. MySQL database was used as a
backend for the events and news information.
Highlights
- Administrative control panel allowing control over the events and news items that
show on the site, as well as image management for the projects.
- Volunteer signup form - Habitat for Humanity has acquired numerous new volunteers
through this interface.
- Email alias usage makes sure that important information is disseminated to appropriate
parties.
